Step 1 - Learn

The NJM Foundation was established to reduce Jamaica’s level of hunger, the percentage of children and senior citizens who are undernourished, along with addressing the food insecurity epidemic in the Chicagoland area by doing the following: Annual senior citizens dinner, quarterly food drives, and by providing back-to-school supplies to families who do not have resources to ensure their children have the supplies they need to succeed.

Step 2 - Sign Up

There are several ways you can volunteer to combat food insecurity in Chicagoland area, along with the hunger and undernourishment of children and senior citizens in Jamaica: give recurring donation (monthly, quarterly, or yearly contributions), participate in our quarterly food drives (perishable food items only), or volunteer your time (packing and distributing food items to community members). Complete our volunteer form and someone will contact you within 48 hours.

Step 3 - Impact

A simple act of kindness with no strings attached goes a long way. People do not care what you know, they just want to know that you care. Being a volunteer will have a profound impact in the lives of those who need it the most: the neglected. With your support/partnership, our immediate goals are to feed 200 children and senior citizens (quarterly), provide back to school supplies for 150 children (annually), provide scholarship to at least three children (annually), etc.
